You can find a lot quickly on the internet these days! There are many groups discussing the current status of youth as they age out of foster care in the United States. Monroe Harding is the only organization in Tennessee to host a central location where all youth who have been in state custody of any kind can come to find the resources they need during this transitional time. It is hard to believe that the eight people working at Youth Connections are helping the whole state of TN transition out of foster care, into independence. Here are just a few of the discussions about ‘emancipation.’ (Remember, MH doesn’t endorse any of the references made in the blog, we’re just sharing information).
