This month’s focus at the YC Thrift Store is the Men’s Shop. If you have any of the following to help the young men as they shop, please bring them by either Monroe Harding or Youth Connections between 8 and 4:30 weekdays.
Yesterday we had a great group of volunteers from HCA help us out on campus. One of their main jobs was to revamp the Education Department, which they did! Here’s what our Education Coordinator had to say:
It was really great having the HCA volunteers here to help. It was nice to see smiling faces just wanting to help out. The colors on the walls look great and all of the details in the tutoring room make it much more inviting and definitely more conducive to learning.
The group was also able to work outside on the landscaping and helped finish up an invitation mailing for Laughter for the Children. Our volunteers all have a huge impact on the work we are able to accomplish here at Monroe Harding.
It’s that time of year….LAUGHTER for the CHILDREN! Our annual fundraiser is a fun-filled event with honorary chairs Barbara and Kix Brooks taking the stage again with this year’s comedian, Saturday Night Live alum VICTORIA JACKSON!!!
Go to the events tab to learn more and to purchase your tickets online. You can also send us an email if you’d like to be invoiced or added to the mailing list for a hard copy of the invitation.
Don’t forget about the Patron’s Party at Harley Davidson on Oct. 8th. This fun night is being brought to you by Snodgrass & King Pediatric Dentistry and is hosted by the men who support Monroe Harding.
