Another GREAT event

November 16th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in Blog

We are so thankful for the great support from our community for our special events this year. Friday’s Laughter for the Children was another huge success. It may have even brought in the most revenue ever (final results are still being processed)! Thanks to everyone who came out and experienced “The Magic of Laughter.” Keith Alberstadt was a hilarious comedian and the live auction items went high because of Kix and Rhori working together to bring the audience to the highest bids they possibly could.

Just ONE more week until Laughter for the Children!

There are still spaces available if you’d like to join the fun that evening. Go to www.laughterforthechildren.com to purchase your tickets. Volunteers are also needed during the day and to help during the event. Call Laquita Harrison at 615.298.5573 ext. 136 if you’d like to help out.

Many trips are available at the auction so consider a vacation of a concert of your choice (including airfare) on the Brooks & Dunn Last Rodeo tour, a week-long stay in Lake Tahoe for up to 10 people (also includes airfare for 2), 2 trips to Florida or a cabin at the lake.

Last night’s Songwriters’ Night was a huge success! Special thanks to John Anderson, John Rich, and Scotty Emerick, and also to Laura Stroud who organized the event. And thanks to Passion, one of our youth who shared her struggles of aging out of foster care with the audience. If you missed the fun last night, make plans to join us in November. Check back often to hear when the next show is announced.
